Nos remontamos a los inicios de la vida profesional del Contador, pues el 17 de julio de 1942, con la reuni\u00f3n de 34 contadores p\u00fablicos fundaron el Colegio Profesional de Lima, que en la actualidad alberga a m\u00e1s de 50 mil miembros de la Orden. Una larga historia llena de vicisitudes y logros, que contin\u00faa plante\u00e1ndose nuevos retos.<\/p>\n
La reuni\u00f3n tuvo lugar en la Sociedad de Ingenieros del Per\u00fa con la asistencia, adem\u00e1s del peque\u00f1o grupo fundacional, de destacados profesionales contables. Ah\u00ed se firm\u00f3 el acta de fundaci\u00f3n y se reunieron 65 antiguos soles de oro como fondos del naciente Colegio, nombr\u00e1ndose a la primera junta directiva teniendo como presidente del gremio al se\u00f1or Garc\u00eda Pantoja.<\/p>\n
Uno de los primeros retos planteados en este colosal inicio fue lograr que el gobierno promulgara la Ley de Profesionalizaci\u00f3n, hecho que tampoco fue f\u00e1cil de conseguir debido a la sucesi\u00f3n de reg\u00edmenes pol\u00edticos, mientras la instituci\u00f3n continuaba su incontenible crecimiento.<\/p>\n
Tras 17 a\u00f1os y diez juntas directivas, durante la gesti\u00f3n de Gonzalo Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez, el 11 de septiembre de 1959, el entonces presidente de la Rep\u00fablica, Manuel Prado Ugarteche, promulga la ansiada Ley N\u00b0 13253. As\u00ed mismo el cargo de presidente cambi\u00f3 de denominaci\u00f3n por el de decano y la instituci\u00f3n empez\u00f3 a denominarse Colegio de Contadores P\u00fablicos de Lima.<\/p>\n
